Monterey Barns at Cooper Molera Wedding | Olivia & John
I had a great time photographing Olivia & John's wedding at the Barns at Cooper Molera. This little gem of a venue is tucked right in the middle of Monterey.
Olivia's classic silk wedding gown is to die for. I also loved that she chose to wear her glasses! She makes wearing glasses look so sexy! We took advantage of the beautiful blue door at the venue for some gorgeous bridal portraits. My favorite is the picture of Olivia and her mom just having a giggle together. ❤️

I know what you are thinking; that arch is magnificent! Olivia's wonderful mother made the arch for the occasion along with all the other floral arrangements. Can you believe that it was all DIY!?

One of the best moments of the wedding for me was John's face as those barn doors opened and Olivia came walking down the aisle. His expression says it all. That is real love. Also, how cute is that little flower girl!

Walking around the barns at Cooper Molera venue, you will notice the bright red building next door. The Cooper Molera Adobe dates back to 1827 and is a National Trust Historic Site.
Throughout the session, John had a pretty magical way of making Oliva laugh. I love doing couple portraits after the ceremony; there is nothing like that newly-wed and madly-in-love look.

I'm falling more and more in love with big barn weddings for the romantic yet laid-back setting. The Barns at Cooper Molera is a great venue right here in Monterey. The warm and romantic floral arrangement by Olivia's mother works so well inside the barn. The new trend of moving the wedding arch behind the sweat heart table is such a great idea!

Another great thing about this venue is the bridal sweet they have upstairs in the barn. It's a great place to get ready, but it's also a great place to hang out while your guest makes their way to their seats for the reception. I love the cheers as the couple makes their grand entrance down the stairs.
During the many beautiful, toasts Olivia's mother gave them a traditional Irish blessing. While John's mom set up a Pyebaek ceremony for them. The Pyebaek is a Korean wedding ceremony where the bride tries to catch as many chestnuts as possible in her dress.

Olivia and John's wedding was the last big wedding I photographed before COVID. I'm so glad these two were able to celebrate before all the madness started. I look back at this wedding fondly.
