Destination Wedding Photography

There’s something about traveling for a wedding that makes the whole experience feel a little more intentional. Whether it’s a vineyard, the mountains, or somewhere by the ocean, being in a new place changes the pace of the day in the best way.

I love photographing weddings in places that mean something to my couples, whether that’s close to home or somewhere further away. I’ve traveled across California, out of state, and internationally, and I’m always excited to document a wedding somewhere new.

A Few Places Love Has Taken Me

Robin & Johnny’s South African Wedding

This wedding felt especially meaningful to photograph since South Africa is where I’m originally from and where I photographed many weddings over the years. Robin’s family traveled all the way from the UK, which made the whole celebration feel like such a special gathering. Backsberg Estate in the Franschhoek wine region is surrounded by mountains in every direction, and the setting felt a little bit magical. It was one of those days that was just genuinely fun to be part of.

Kenzie & Casey’s Utah Wedding

Sleepy Ridge was a completely different kind of landscape, with snow still on the mountains and soft spring rain throughout the day. I traveled out for Kenzie’s wedding after photographing her sister’s wedding in Monterey, which made it feel even more meaningful to be there. Utah is just stunning, and with those mountain views, the setting feels incredible both inside and out.

Venetia & Jean’s South African Wedding

Holden Manz Estate in the Franschhoek wine region was such an inspiring place to photograph. Surrounded by orchards and mountains in every direction, the setting felt beautiful and peaceful while still being incredibly elegant. Venetia’s family is from the Western Cape, while the couple was living in Dubai at the time, which made the celebration feel like a meaningful gathering from all over the world. Jean was a chef, so naturally the food was phenomenal, and one of my favorite parts of the estate was the incredible artwork throughout the house where they got ready. Every part of the day felt thoughtful, artistic, and full of personality.

Traveling for weddings is something I genuinely love. There’s a different kind of energy to it, and it pushes me creatively in a way that feels fresh and inspiring every time. If you’re planning a wedding somewhere meaningful to you, I’m always up for the adventure.
