Destination Wedding, Morgansvlei South Africa | Byron & Tyla
Getting to travel the world and photograph couples from all walks of life getting married and witnessing their love, it's hard to believe I call this work! Photographing destination weddings is probably my favorite part of being a wedding photographer.
Byron & Tyla got married at a beautiful Country Estate in South Africa called Morgansvlei. It had picturesque views of the mountains and orchard surrounding the venue.

There is the cutest historic chapel where Byron & Tyla choose to have their wedding ceremony. This chapel is the original chapel built in 1710. It has the most beautiful deep blue doors and shutters on the windows. Inside, the thick walls keep the chapel cool while the windows let in beautiful beams of light. It is the perfect venue for an intimate ceremony.

Outside the Cape Dutch style function hall is a beautiful dam. I could not pass up the opportunity to take some fun bridal party portraits and couples portraits in front of it. We later ventured into the surrounding pear orchids for some adorable images of Byron & Tyla. As the sun began to set, we found a lovely field of tall grasses for some fabulous sunset portraits.

The reception was held inside the elegant Cape Dutch function hall. This leads onto a stunning covered patio via folding Victoria glass doors, with unique views of the dam, vineyards, and sunset over the mountains. I love the use of eucalyptus leaves for the overhanging florals and table decor. Each table had a floral chandelier hanging overhead and a lush spread of eucalyptus and white lilies on the table.

Byron and Tyla's wedding cake was a delicious chocolate layered naked cake topped with a white snow lily. I had a fantastic time photographing this unique destination wedding! From South Africa to Hawaii, I love traveling the world and documenting love.
