Olivia & John's wedding on 02/15/2020 was the last wedding I photographed before the COVID pandemic swept the US. It's was a beautiful rustic barn wedding filled with love and laughter! I'm so grateful to have had the opportunity to photograph this beautiful wedding. Looking back at this joyous day helps keep me grounded on days when 2020 just feels overwhelming.
Olivia's mother DIY'd all the flower arrangements for their wedding and I dare say she could go professional! That circular wedding arch is just gorgeous! The warm tones of the flowers bring a warm to the cozy winter wedding. She also offered them a traditional Irish wedding blessing. While John's mother brought some Korean tradition to the wedding with the Pyebaek ceremony. This is where the parents of the groom throw the dates and chestnuts at the bride as she tries to catch them in her large, traditional skirt. The number of dates and chestnuts she catches symbolize the number of children she will later have. She also gifted the pair a set of Korean wedding ducks.
Friends and family where able to get together dancing and chatting the night away!
